Volunteer Information


Volunteers play a very important role in ensuring the success of the Volunteers of America North Texas Shootout and your support is greatly appreciated. We hope you will join us to help make this the best tournament yet!

The Volunteer Fee this year is $60 and will help cover the cost of your volunteer package, which includes the following:

  • One (1) Tournament Logo’d Golf Shirt
  • One (1) Tournament Logo’d Outerwear Piece
  • One (1) piece of Headwear (cap)
  • One (1) Tournament lanyard with Credential
  • Meal (s) provided for each shift worked
  • Six (6) complimentary Good Any One Day tickets, which provide access to Tournament grounds
  • One (1) commemorative gift
  • One (1) round of golf per volunteer at Las Colinas Country Club (cart fee will apply)
    • Each volunteer is asked to complete a minimum of 3 shifts* or 18 hours to receive golf voucher.
      • 1 shift is considered complete after 6 hours are worked (Shift lengths vary by committee.  Shift begins when volunteer is in position to fulfill their duties, not when they are on shuttle or waiting in volunteer tent prior to start of shift.)

At the time of registration volunteers will also have the ability to purchase additional apparel:Tournament Logo’d Golf Shirt – $35 Men’s or  Women’s Outerwear Piece – $45

Volunteer Requirements

  • All Volunteers are expected to show up for their shifts with a smile and to engage with spectators, players and staff in a friendly manner
  • Must work a minimum of 3 shifts* or 18 hours (shift lengths vary by committee).
    • *1 shift is considered complete after 6 hours worked
  • Willing to attend any training sessions related to your committee
  • Must be at least 18 years of age by April 2015, to volunteer unless Legal Guardian waiver is signed.
  • Must be prepared to perform in all types of weather conditions and be outside for extended periods
    • Some committees require volunteers to stand and/or walk for extended periods. Please read Committee Descriptions carefully before choosing your committee.
